September - Stark County Fall Festival Drive
September 17 and 18, 2013
The Stark County Fall Festival is the 3rd weekend in September. Welcome to the rural delights of Stark County. It is our hope that you will enjoy your visit during our annual Fall Festival Drive and will return many times in the coming days. A drive guide is available free of charge at many locations throughout Stark County and nearby communities. We are grateful to the businesses and volunteers, past and present, who have made this possible. In the guide, you will find detailed descriptions of the many activities and opportunities available during the Fall Festival, along with community maps to help you find your way around the county. Not only is Stark County farm ground some of the most productive in the country, but now our wind currents are productive as well, making Stark County a desirable place to live and raise a family. All Stark County communities offer a pleasing mixture of agricultural scenes, desirable home sites, and wooded countrysides...not to mention the mighty Spoon River! When visiting the communities of Bradford and Castleton, be sure to travel along Route 40, south of Bradford, and the Castleton Blacktop, east of Castleton. There, you will get an up close view of the Camp Grove and Tiskilwa Wind Farms. The giant turbines outside of Bradford were constructed in 2004 and the Camp Grove Wind Farm recently went up in 2007 and are quite amazing to see. You may want to pull your car over and take pictures! We are glad you have honored us with your presence. If you are a Stark County resident, we thank you for supporting this effort and welcoming our out of town guests with your hospitality. If you are a visitor, we hope you enjoy your weekend with us and consider making our community, your community.
